Family Feud: Son Stabs Father, Dad Shoots Girlfriend, PA State Police Say

A family fight turned violent in Loyalsock Township, leaving three people injured in a chaotic sequence of events involving a stabbing and a shooting, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024.

The altercation erupted on Grampian Boulevard when a son allegedly stabbed his father during a heated argument around 10 a.m., according to investigators. In response, the father fired a gun. The bullet passed through the son’s girlfriend before hitting the son, police said.

Despite the dramatic nature of the incident, no fatalities were reported. All three individuals suffered non-fatal injuries and are expected to recover, authorities confirmed.

“This was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public,” PSP stated in a release.

Charges are pending as police continue their investigation, with the final decision resting with prosecutors.

Further details about the case will be released as the investigation progresses, PSP said.
